We innovate with medical imaging and digital technologies to improve patients’ mobility and
quality of life after joint replacement surgery
Our Research
The Teeter Lab is at the forefront of innovation in joint replacement surgery. Experts in musculoskeletal imaging, we generate datasets that can be used to validate image-based classifiers. Our research incorporates multiple modalities including x-ray, RSA, CT, weight-bearing CT, MRI, and PET. Working with industry, we use imaging biomarkers to generate evidence supporting new technologies like surgical robotics, smart surgical instruments, and new implants. We have also developed our own technology in the areas of radiomics, machine learning classifiers and CNNs, wearable and embedded sensors, and 3D printed implants and surgical tools.
